Anya is the most cherished character in Spy x Family series, both by her family and my audience. However, there are things about Anya that’s not explicitly mentioned in the show. Here’s 5 hidden facts you never know about Anya. Well, let’s go to the list.
1. Actual Age
We see that Anya is such a childish character through out the show. We know from episode 1 that Anya is apparently 6 years old. However, can we be 100% sure that Anya was not lying when Loid asked her the question? That time, Loid wasn’t even asking about her age. He was thinking about whether her age actually fits the requirement of Eden Academy which is 6 years old.
Then out of nowhere, Anya tells Loid that she’s 6 years old. Don’t you think something fishy is going on here? Considering Anya has an ability to read mind, it’s possible that she was lying about her age. The information about Anya’s actual age has never been mentioned in the manga or in the official website. All the sources point out that Anya is 6 years old based on what she mentioned in episode 1.
However, despite being an 6 years old child, she shows an outstanding cognitive ability compare to the average 6 years old child.
2. A Secret Genius
When Anya studies for Eden academy written test, we see a glimps of what kind of questions are asked in the test. It shows that the study material includes calculating area of a triangle and reading a graphic. It’s awesome that Anya was accepted to this ELEMENTARY SCHOOL with such a complex test problems.
I think these type of questions are usually TAUGHT in the elementary school itself, not being TESTED as a selection exam material. Of course the education system maybe different in each country, especially in a fictional world. But still, this one is crazy. This proves that Anya is actually very smart. Because of her intellect and her kindness. It attracts people’s attention to her, especially Damian.
3. Damian Loves Anya?
Anya and Damian’s relationship slowly get better and better through out the series. Of course because it’s part of the mission, right? Right? We often see him feeling embarrassed and making red face in front of Anya. However, does this mean he loves her? I don’t think Damian’s feeling towards Anya is actually love.
Considering he’s only 6 years old, without the hormone needed to fall in love which usually develops in puberty, his feeling is definitely not love. However, he may want to be Anya’s friend for real. So, is it possible for him to loves her in the future? Yes, but not now.
4. Limit of Power
As we know, Anya has an awesome ability to read minds of other people. She is able to read minds of many people at the same time. However, did you know that her power has a certain limit? This limit makes her feeling dizzy and pass out after using her power.
This limit usually happens because of high intensity of negative thought. For example, when Anya and family listen to a political speech, we see Anya suddenly passes out.
5. Her Pet
Did you know that Anya actually has a dog as her pet? Its first appearance is in chapter 18, it shows that there is some kind of terrorist who plans to use dogs as a bomb to assassinate Westalis minister Brantz. However, one of the dog escapes because of Anya. With her power, she notices that dog also has a special ability, that is to see the future.
In the end, Anya and her dog help Loid to save the day. Anya soon takes the dog home and name it Bond, which is the name of the main character of her favorite tv show. We can expect to see the dog’s appearance probably in episode 18. Along with the dog, we know that Anya was also adopted by Loid. However, there’s something strange about Anya’s adoption.
