Top 10 New Trending Anime Worth The Hype in 2025 – It is time for greatness to be revealed. You all know that we are currently in the spring of 2025, the season of anime with a bunch of new shows, but this article will break it down for you for all the new anime that is worth watching and worth your time to check out without wasting any of your time. Now, let us jump right into it.

10. Can a Boy-Girl Friendship Survive?

First up, we got a brand new rom-com high school anime series that goes by the name of Can a Boy-Girl Friendship Survive? A girl with a bubbly personality named Himari and the plant-loving boy named Yuu have been friends for ages and both share a common dream.

Nothing has ever steered them in the wrong direction, but that is until Yuu reunites with his first crush in a very long time, which made him somewhat rethink his life choices and quite possibly chase after the girl that he loved.

So what does that even mean for poor Himari now that Yuu is less focused on sharing the same goal? It is pretty much your typical rom-com, but interesting enough to recommend it to you guys to give it a try.

9. Lazarus

Studio MAPPA — they strike again. This time with an anime original series with crisp and beautiful animation and a sci-fi environment with lots of action and cool-looking characters.

The anime is called Lazarus, and it takes place in the distant future of 2052, and mankind has been freed from sickness and pain thanks to Dr. Skinner for developing a cure.

Although this may be good news, Skinner then suddenly vanishes without a trace left behind. And three years have passed, and Skinner returns as, well, an evil person and announces that those that have taken his drug will die in three years.

But this pretty much resulted in a special task force coming together called Lazarus to stop Skinner from his evil plans and try to develop a vaccine before, you know, people die — to prevent the deaths of innocents. Now this, it sounds really cool for it, and I’m really all in to watch it.

8. Witch Watch

Nico and Morihito have been childhood friends, and soon Nico left to complete her witch training and hasn’t returned for six long years. But that is until she finishes her training and returns to reunite with Morihito and wishes for him to become her familiar.

Now, normally witches have animals as familiars, but Nico wanted things to be different for her. This anime is essentially another rom-com. Nico has a crush on Morihito, but he simply refuses to be her servant and live under the same roof with her.

But he actually has no choice because disobeying will make him turn into one ugly cow hybrid, which made him rethink again. It’s honestly pretty funny. You guys might want to try this one out.

7. Sword of the Demon Hunter

This here to me is one of the biggest highlights for me when it comes to anime this season. An anime about slaying demons. Now, not only is this anime beautiful in its visuals, but the story is quite captivating, and its characters are extremely solid.

The whole anime is centered around revenge as a samurai who travels through time to slay demons while constantly figuring out the meaning behind wielding a sword for himself. I don’t really want to say too much, as it would spoil it in my opinion, but just know that this is one epic journey.

6. The Shiunji Family Children

From the glorious creator of Rent-a-Girlfriend, a brand new series comes out, and it follows the Shiunji family that consists of two brothers and a bunch of cute sisters.

Dad came around and announced at the dinner table at his daughter’s birthday that all the siblings were in fact adopted and aren’t blood-related, which was shocking news to them all.

Now, despite believing they were siblings all this time, there now may be unexpected love relations going on in the family, which would lead to misunderstandings. Little Sisters, Big Sister, a romance high school anime series — it’s all there for you to enjoy.

5. To Be Hero X

This could be potentially the rise of a brand new anime, and let me tell you, it is currently a big talk of the season, and many of you should definitely join the ride. Anyone can be a hero in this anime, as all it takes is a large number of people supporting you to gain points and power.

An average, weakling guy gets fired from his job and witnesses one of the greatest heroes die. So what happens next, you may ask? Well, let’s just say that he was forced to take his place, continue on the legacy, and become the strongest hero.

It’s quite the unique mix of 2D and 3D animation in such a smooth way. And you can say that it’s very similar to Arcane, the animation movie from Netflix, as it’s really worth getting into.

4. Wind Breaker Season 2

Windbreaker returns with its awaited sequel on the delinquent named Sakura, who continues to fight for his school, battle tougher opponents, and prove he is the best out there on the streets.

Pretty much the same formula from the first season, just a continuation of the story, new threats and characters, which is what you would expect from a shonen series like this.

Still though, badass fights await, which means that the main reason to check this anime out in the first place is for the battle fight choreography and all that. It is going to be epic, I tell you.

3. Fire Force Season 3

Fire Force season 3 is here. Another anime you might want to dive into if you actually manage to get past all the unnecessary forced ecchi and the chaotic mess where characters get left behind plenty of times. Look, I know I kind of sounded like it’s a bad anime.

It’s actually fairly solid in my opinion, although it’s not really a big fan favorite. Now, it is by David Productions, so you will get insanely good animation and visuals, as this anime is insane during the fight scenes that come in, but that’s all really about the good stuff when it comes to Fire Force.

2. Go! Go! Loser Ranger! Season 2

And now for a good recommendation — Go! Go! Loser Ranger! Season 2 is something I’ve been really looking forward to in this season of spring 2025 because not only do I enjoy this revenge storyline of getting payback on evil Power Rangers, but also because the characters are super entertaining.

New villains have emerged. It’s time to take down the rest of the Ranger leaders and continue to deceive everyone else who still thinks that the villain D is Sakurama. This anime screams adventure to me, and it continues to deliver exactly what I’m looking for.

1. From Old Country Bumpkin to Master Swordsman

And finally, for the last recommendation on today’s post list — From Old Country Bumpkin to Master Swordsman.

Now, just imagine if Paul Greyrat from Mushoku Tensei gets reincarnated and is now in this anime as a retired swordmaster who gets invited to teach fellow people at the Liberion Order as their new sword instructor because, well, he is simply overpowered. Now, I say that because the protagonist really does look a lot like Paul.

But this anime is essentially just another generic fantasy series of an instructor training his former pupils of S-rank status, as they seem to have much more to learn from their former master, whom they have surpassed long ago.
